Headaches
Throbbing pain. A dull ache. Sudden pain or “brain freeze” after eating ice cream. Pain on the top of the head. As one of the most common pain conditions experienced worldwide, headaches can range from mildly uncomfortable to debilitating.
This type of pain often causes absenteeism from school or work. Those who experience frequent headaches may also find that their mental health is impacted by anxiety or depression.

How Chiropractic May Help
Adjustments may be an effective care option for tension headaches and those that start in the neck. Upper cervical neck adjustments, in particular, work very well. We also work on the occipital bone. Dr. Martin can realign or adjust the upper cervical neck bones, where much of the nerve function can relay or create problems with headache pain. We also work with a lot of soft tissues in that area. Sometimes, we use ART, trigger point therapy, ultrasound, laser therapy, or interferential current.
Do you have any specific patient miracle stories you have highlighted here?
He asked me, “Why don’t you see a chiropractor?” I knew nothing about chiropractors before that. So, I came home and saw a chiropractor in my area. Within about three weekends of treatment, he got my headaches down to a very low level, and I’ve continued to have chiropractic care since then. I now rarely get headaches. It’s been amazing.
